This last weekend Banks and I decided to take a last minute trip to Las Vegas. We've been pretty busy and it's just not Summer Vacation unless you take trips! We headed down after work on Wednesday. We got in so late, they had overbooked and had to bump us to a suite. Sweet!! I got to take a bath in the huge tub while Banks watched the flat screen TV, a favorite pastime of his. :) It was so relaxing, the perfect start to our vacation! Our hotel has a really cool fish tank that is also the home of some real life Mermaids. The Mermaids come out and swim with the exotic fish, sting rays and sharks a few times during the day. It's really cool to watch.

Sorry, I couldn't get a great picture, I'm still trying to figure out all the settings on my camera!
We also did LOTS of shopping.. From the Fashion Show Mall to the Forum Shops at Cesar's Palace. I love all the great shops that we don't have here in Utah, D&G, Kate Spade, Dior, Tiffant & Co...I almost had Banks talked into some Juicy Couture items for my little dog Lola. My FAVORITE stop was the MAC pro store. I'm a MAC addict (THANKS Rachelle!!) It's my new obsession and I think it's borderline unhealthy. They had a turn table located in the store so they can spin live on the weekends. It also helps that the store is LOADED with all kinds of cool stuff that you can't get anywhere else, especially here in Utah. I was like a kid in a candy store. Banks had to do several laps of the shops while I was playing around inside. At one point Banks came in to inspect the situation and found me with what he described as a "weird rainbow" on my arm. I was having a crazy good time swatching all the cool colors and talking to my MA. The bill wasn't pretty... but I love every thing that I got! I can't wait to go back. I'm already thinking of the things I need next time I go back.
We also went and saw KA, the Cirque du Soleil show at MGM Grand... I'm pretty sure this was Banks' favorite part. The show was AMAZING. It also helped that we both had 44 oz of alcholoic beverages to consume during the show...

We also went and saw a comedian we really like, Jim Gaffigan. If you EVER get a chance to go see him, he's worth every penny. You'll have a good time I guarentee it.

I took a picture of Banks while we were having drinks in Eyecandy... a cute little lounge at Mandalay Bay. Don't let the picture fool you, he ALWAYS looks bored. I could kill him for ruining so many pictures.
We also stopped off at Red Mango it's like a healthy Cold Stone with Frozen Yogurt and fruits and granola etc . It's official, we're in love! Even Banks really liked it, which usually it has to be covered in chocolate and have cookie dough in it for him to appreaciate a dessert. I posted a pic of my delicious little treat so you can all start to crave it. Red Mango is opening in Orem this year, make plans to stop by!!

All in all it was a perfect little vacation. I got to spend the morning and early afternoons by the pool in the sun, we had some good food, saw some great things and came home feeling relaxed. Thank heavens for long weekends. I hope you all get to take one for yourself very soon!!
